How could i find out the value of a rosary?
I will describe it the best i can: Blue oval shaped beads (it is not a gold chain), with a small mary pendent above the cross with jesus on it, it has the date 1830 below mary and says ROMA italy on the back with the roman numerals IVI.
It once belonged to a priest that passed away and has his intials on it but the intials are under the head of jesus so there is no way that anyone could have put the intials on it, the intials had to be put on the cross first then jesus cause it is behide his head.
How can i find out the value??

Oh you can or should be able to go to the official Vatican Site through the Catholic Church...
Then you type in the priest's initials, the numerals IVI and you click search.. I have a rosary from Pope John Paul 2 that is valued at almost $5,000 and all it is, is a simple little rosary..
It is white peril assents colored beads, a whistle for the cross, and a single Mary silver pendent.. I had two, but one was stolen with my purse (it was the small one.. ) All the fathers in town at church always ask me to let them re-bless my Rosary, so I am proud of it.. (Oh and it was confirmed by the Vatican as official).. I hope they never ask for it back!!!
The priests name detrimins the value, for if he was highly re guarded then it is worth more, my husband's Rosary is worth $2,500 for the priest was just made a Cardinal not to long ago!!
