And all the neighbors took their part

On summer nights so clear and still
You could hear an angel choir
In those West Virginia hills

Suprisingly, I found this quite good, although the meter was inconsistent. I've made a few slight revisions to make the meter 8/7/8/7 all the way through. ('Choir' is obviously pronounced as 'kwy-or' in L3, V4.) Somehow 'Poppa' seemed to fit the mood of the piece better to me, so I used that instead of 'Daddy'. Feel free to ignore. (Whaddya make of those losers ignoring your posts 'cos you answered mine? It's okay - no need to answer.)
