Has anyone ever been released for shoplifting by a Macy's security guard due to illness or mental compacity?
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was arrested at Macy's department store with the security guard using excessive force. I tried on a costume jewelry necklace then fell very ill. was helped by several customers and sales people. I am disabled and on SSI. I explained the situation to the security guard and was still taken to jail. Has anyone ever been released by Macy's security due to circumstances beyond their control?
This is not Macy's decision at this point, it's up to the prosecutor. I'm sure the Macy's security folks have heard it all and you won't be the first to claim something like that. Not saying you are lying, but others have and they can't release you based on your word.
At this point, you need to get a lawyer. Plead not guilty at the arraignment and ask for one if you can't afford it.
