Gold Natural Fancy
Christians, will you please help me understand this verse?
1 Timothy 2:9
King James Version
"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;"
When I came across this verse I was surprised. I bleach my hair and color it a lot. A while back I questioned if changing the color of your natural God givin hair was wrong to do. I also questioned if wearing make up was wrong. I like changing up my hair but after reading that verse I'm not sure if it's something that God would agree to. I don't fully understand what is meant when he says "broided." I think that "broided" hair is referring to fancy hair in general; dying hair an unatural color included. I'm a baptist Christian, please correct me if I'm misinterpreting what is said. I also know that if you feel it isn't right, you shouldn't do it... Correct? So am I sinning by questioning if it's right or wrong, if I feel confused? I feel like I should know but I'm confused.
