Where can I find out what gemstone my 108 yr old Pendant is? Help plz.?
I have a Pendant that my great grandmother gave to me 20 years ago. It is atleast 108 years old. I have pictures I could send someone via email of the pendant. I thought it was Jade, but I haven't a clue. It is light green,1", no chips or flaws, it has a gold design of cranes in gold that sits on top of the pendant. I'm clueless. I need to know about this gemstone/pendant please.Thank you kindly.~S

I can't take it to a jewlers as I am disabled and can't drive.
Unfortunately without actually looking at it in person I can only give you my best guess. It appears to be Nephrite, a form of Jade. These types of pendants are not uncommon and similar pendants are still made today.
It's a lovely piece and from the lack of wear on the bail appears to have been worn very little, or may have had the bail replaced not too long ago.
