I was wondering how I should do my hair and makeup for prom based on my outfit:
My dress is:
-short
-strapless
-goes out at the waist
-lilac colour
-kinda looks like a fairy dress
I'm wearing:
-white, shimmery, peep-toe pumps
-silver and white accessories including; stud earrings, tiny pendant necklace, and a bangle bracelet bracelet.
I want my hair to be down, and curled;
-it's medium length, golden blonde, thin, and naturally wavy
I have a;
-pale complextion
-heart shaped face
-chocolate brown eyes
-angular eyebrows
I think that with your whole look, light, shimmery makeup would look best. Maybe a white sparkly eyeshadow. Also, maybe use black/brown mascara so it looks more natural and less harsh. I wouldn't do eyeliner. Then a bright pink lip would look really cool and stand out, With your hair, I think you should curl it in wavy curls. Make them big and bouncy, and curl them in all different directions to look natural. Then, pull two pieces on each side of your head back with bobby pins, and at the spot where you pin them, pin them underneath your hair so that it looks hidden. The pieces should be maybe an inch wide. I'd keep these pieces straight. But experiment and try different things. Good luck!
If you do get it done professionally, go in for a test run a few days before prom. If you like it, schedule an appointment to get your makeup done in the afternoon before prom. But I seriously recommend that you do it yourself.
